The second last race of the Dutch Championship again saw the XRAY T2 take all the podium places in the modified class. XRAY driver Bart Wubben manage two wins and took the 2006 title. Promising youngster Rob Jansen drove to two fine 2nd place finishes and is almost in runner-up spot for the championship. Arjan Potharst took maximum advantage of his home track knowledge to take third.

During the fifth race of the Dutch Nationals it rained heavily and the organizers had to skip one of the qualification sessions because the track was totally flooded and had to be pumped dry. Before the heavy rain only the Stock-class could run a wet qualification which saw a few surprises. Andrew Carter took the provisional pole ahead of Joop Voorn.

After the rain-break only one session was left to fight out the grid for the two finals. In the modified class Bart Wubben took pole and shared the front row with Rob Jansen, and Tony Vredenberg in third. The Stock class saw Jan van Steeg on pole with a vintage Asso TC3 ahead of Vasco Christiaanse and Richard Oversloot with an FK05.

The Stock finals were hectic with Jan van Steeg taking the two wins, who took the lead in the title race while championship leader Johnny Jonker left the track when the rain began to fall. Due to mechanical problems and a stop-and-go penalty, Vasco Christiaanse could only manage 10th and 5th. Steven Koiter finished twice behind Jan van Steeg in second. Patrick van der Knaap finished third and fourth but saw young Richard Oversloot â” who finished fourth and third â” get on the podium due to a better qualification.
